I was blessed to be able to interview the cast of America’s Funniest Home Videos, including Alfonso Ribeiro, and what struck me was how normal and down‑to‑earth the whole experience felt. You build up celebrities in your head, then you meet them and realize they’re just people doing a job, trying to be kind, professional, and get through the day like the rest of us.

For me, the unique insight is that you don’t have to “shrink” yourself around celebrities. You can show up as a real, imperfect human, ask honest questions, and still have a meaningful, fun conversation without pretending to be someone you’re not.
