Question
How does Meredith Masony's storytelling style connect with parents globally?
Answer
I connect with parents globally by being brutally honest about the messy, funny, exhausting parts of motherhood that most of us are told to hide. When I share stories—whether it’s from my book “Ask Me What’s For Dinner One More Time” or videos like “You’re a Mom, Not a Martyr”—I say the quiet parts out loud so moms feel seen, not judged.
I talk about worry, guilt, joy, and losing yourself in parenting, because those feelings aren’t American or Canadian or European—they’re universal. When a mom in another country hears me admit I can’t be everyone’s everything, she recognizes her own life and realizes she’s not alone or failing.
I also use simple, everyday language and real-life moments (tantrums, dinner battles, mom guilt) so parents don’t need a “parenting manual” to relate. They just need to have lived it.
What’s one parenting moment where you felt, “If someone else has gone through this too, I’ll feel so much better”?
