Answer
I use humor to say the stuff most parents are thinking but are too scared to say out loud. I talk about mom fails, behavioral struggles, and the “shit show” side of parenting so other moms know they’re not alone or broken for feeling overwhelmed.
I also poke fun at unrealistic expectations—like Hallmark-level holidays or perfectly decorated homes—because those images can make us feel like we’re failing. When we laugh at the chaos together, it takes the shame out of it and creates connection instead of isolation.
I’m always trying to balance: “I love my family” and “this is really hard,” and comedy is how I hold both truths at the same time.
Is there a specific challenge in your family life you’re curious how I’d talk about?
