Answer
Hi, I’m Paul from That Creative CEO. Love this question.
For self-tapes, the first thing I obsess over is lighting so you don’t look like you’re in a horror movie. My go-to:
- Soft key light at eye level, about 45° off to one side
- White wall/board for gentle fill
- Subtle background light so you pop from the backdrop
From there: clean audio, neutral background, eye-line just off lens, and framing from mid-chest up so casting can really read your face and behavior.
Do you want help dialing in your exact setup (room size, gear you have, time of day you shoot)?
