Hi, I’m Paul Rogers from thatcreativeceo. Love this question.

Here’s how I like to get the most out of S-Cinetone:

  • Expose for the subject’s skin, not the background. I’ll slightly underexpose (about -0.3 to -0.7) to protect highlights and keep skin from looking waxy.
  • Avoid heavy grading. S-Cinetone is designed to look great straight out of camera – I mainly tweak contrast, a touch of saturation, and maybe a gentle vignette.
  • Keep lighting soft and intentional. It shines with motivated soft light, not harsh mixed lighting.

What camera are you shooting S-Cinetone on right now?
