I recommend you stick to the 35–50mm range for talking head videos to avoid that funhouse-mirror distortion.

Anything wider (like 16–24mm) starts stretching your features and making you look like you’re starring in a low-budget Pixar remake. Move your camera back, zoom into that 35–50mm sweet spot, and your face will thank you.
