Answer
Hi, I’m Paul Rogers from That Creative CEO. Love this question.
Traditional editing = “make it pretty.” My method = make it impossible to scroll past. I focus on:
- Hook science: first 1–3 seconds built around curiosity gaps, pattern interrupts, and social proof
- Narrative beats: micro-story arcs every 3–5 seconds so there’s zero “dead air”
- Retention-first cuts: every cut, zoom, subtitle, and sound is there to keep watch time up
Most “viral” videos win not because they’re the best produced, but because they’re the best at holding attention and triggering shares. I reverse engineer that in the concept, script, and structure before we even touch the timeline.
What kind of videos are you trying to make go viral right now—educational, entertaining, or pure promo?
