I approach post-production as an extension of how I feel about a photograph, not as a checklist of “correct” techniques. Instead of blindly following “best practices,” I lean on what I talked about on Instagram: stop using techniques you’re told are best and photograph (and edit) from your gut and heart.

Where this outperforms traditional, formulaic methods is:

  • Edits are driven by story and emotion, not trends or presets
  • Each image gets only what it needs, which keeps the file natural and timeless
  • The process is efficient because I know the shot’s intent before I ever open the file
