The Digital Zone System is my way of taking Ansel Adams’ classic zone concept and baking it directly into digital editing so you have a repeatable, visual roadmap instead of guesswork. Traditional editing is often “move sliders until it looks good.” My method forces you to think in zones: where your shadows, midtones, and highlights should actually live and how they relate.
