Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse.

When I talk about TickTick “outperforming” other apps, I really mean it fits how my brain and my mom-life work better than anything else I’ve tried (Astrid, GTasks, etc.). A few ways it stands out for me:

  • Repeating tasks, with lots of flexibility – I can set “every 3 weeks,” “every 5 days,” whatever. That’s huge for housework, laundry, church stuff, and all the random mom jobs.
  • Priorities and checklists inside tasks – I can see “Weeding” as one task, then open it and follow my little rotation checklist so I do not get overwhelmed by the whole yard.
  • Multiple lists by role – I keep “Blog,” “Secretary,” “Household,” and more. When I’m wearing my “family secretary” hat, I only see those tasks, not 30 other things screaming at me.
  • Shared list with my husband – We share the Household list so he sees what needs doing without me nagging or getting “Do you need me to do anything?” phone calls.
  • Attachments and links – I attach forms for meetings, snap photos, or drop in a link (like my teen’s Facebook) right into the task so I act quickly without hunting through files or bookmarks.
  • Great free version and sync – It syncs well between my phone, tablet, and desktop, and all of this is available without paying, which makes it easy to recommend honestly.

So it “outperforms” because it becomes the bones of my whole system: I empty my brain into it, let repeating reminders run, and then just show up and do what it tells me.

What part of productivity are you struggling with most right now—home tasks, work projects, or managing kids’ stuff?
