Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse. How can I help?

From my holiday posts and podcasts, a few unique insights really stand out:

  • Traditions don’t have to be big or perfect. A lot of what I thought were “traditions” as a kid were just things my parents casually did; your kids likely see your normal “stuff we do” as traditions too.
  • It’s okay to let traditions change or die if they no longer fit your season of life. Enjoy the memories and move on instead of forcing it.
  • Plan memories intentionally but simply: put a few things on the calendar early, demand a bit of family time from teens, ask kids what they actually want, and remember it can be as easy as a movie and cuddles.
  • Focus on the real goal: not “perfect traditions,” but happy memories and a family that enjoys being together.
