Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse.

My perspective is that “good enough” has a lot of glory. I used to obsess over finding the “best” option in everything (inspired by that “good, better, best” church talk) until my dad pointed out that in the time I spent hunting for “best,” I could have done 10 good things instead.

Now I try to:

  • Aim for excellent in a few truly important areas, but
  • Accept “good enough” in most daily tasks: parenting moments, organizing, cleaning, even business.

The big win with “good enough” is that it’s done. You took action instead of being paralyzed by perfection—and that usually serves your family and sanity better than a perfect-but-never-finished plan.

Is there a specific area (parenting, home, work, pregnancy prep) where perfectionism is tripping you up right now?
