Here are my top newborn photo tips pulled right from what I actually do at home:

• Bundle them up in those bright, cute baby-shower blankets while they still fit.
• Try some naked shots (shared modestly) so you remember that tiny belly button, fingers, and toes.
• Zoom in on favorite outfit details, hands, and feet.
• Use simple, solid blankets or fabric as backgrounds, including special quilts or grandma-made blankets, so the photo carries extra meaning later.
• Most of all, take photos often—even daily. You’ll never regret “too many” newborn pictures.
