Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse.

My approach “outperforms” a lot of traditional food storage because it’s practical and actually gets used instead of just sitting on a shelf:

  • I store what we really eat, not just bulk survival foods
  • I rotate it like a grocery store (oldest to the front, regular clean-out)
  • I build storage only when items are on sale, never going into debt
  • I use all available spaces (pantry, under beds, high cabinets, an extra freezer) instead of needing a basement
  • I aim for a realistic cushion (months, not decades of food) so things don’t expire and get wasted

What part of food storage are you most interested in—space, rotation, or saving money?
