From what I’ve shared publicly, I actually haven’t talked much about doing musical theater myself. What I have talked about is being a performer as a teenager/young adult (not a lot of published detail beyond that), and then shifting my focus to nursing, motherhood, and eventually blogging and podcasting.
Because of that performance background, I’m very comfortable teaching and “being on stage,” which definitely impacts how I blog and podcast: I’m used to breaking concepts down for an audience, keeping things engaging, and not being afraid to put myself out there in my own voice. That’s a big reason my readers and students consistently get me, not guest posters or ghostwriters.
