I love tools that make homeschool science hands‑on but low prep for me.

From my own projects, I’ve leaned on Kiwi Crate–style subscription boxes for ready-to-go experiments. One “ice unit” crate let us:

  • Explore melting, salt, and crystal formation
  • Paint “snowflakes” and watch crystals grow as water evaporated
  • Compare cups of water to talk through density using food coloring and salt

I also like simple, reusable basics: ice cube trays, food coloring, salt, sturdy paper, and kid-safe droppers or cups for mixing.

Are you looking for kit recommendations by age, or DIY supply ideas you can grab from around the house?
