How does Natasha Nicholes's quilting technique with Riley Blake Designs differ from traditional methods?

I don’t actually have a specific, defined “Riley Blake Designs quilting technique” written down anywhere, so I want to be honest about that upfront. But based on how I talk about my quilts, there are a few ways my approach often differs from more traditional methods.

• I lean into pre-cuts and modern patterns (like jelly rolls and designer patterns) instead of only yardage and classic blocks
• I’m comfortable mixing bold, modern prints and lots of white negative space, where traditional quilts might use more subdued, coordinated fabrics
• I’m very open about “perfectly imperfect” piecing, pressing seams into submission, and learning as I go, rather than chasing heirloom-level perfection from the start
