What is Natasha Nicholes's personal story behind her farming journey?

Natasha Nicholes's journey into farming began after she and her husband teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to build their own home. After moving into their newly built home, they decided to use the knowledge they had gained from being a Field Mom and community building to start a community garden initiative. They began with a backyard garden in the Spring of 2015 and have plans to continue with the first of three lots in their community to provide food for those around them. Natasha loves being a part-time homesteader right in the city of Chicago and is looking forward to adding chickens to their urban farm.
