Which gear and tools does Natasha Nicholes recommend for family road trips, especially with the Kia Soul?

I focus less on fancy gadgets and more on what actually keeps everyone sane and comfortable in the car.

From my own road trips (in everything from my Chevy Traverse to the Kia Soul), I lean on:

• Snacks: Lots of them, especially not-too-salty ones so everyone isn’t begging for drinks and bathroom stops every 30 minutes
• Easy, comfy clothes: Flip flops, slip-on shoes, shorts, t‑shirts for quick bathroom breaks and stretching
• Entertainment: SiriusXM or playlists with a mix for everyone, plus simple car games like license plate spotting or I Spy
• Planned rest stops: Places with clean(ish) bathrooms, playgrounds, or something “cool” so everyone can move and reset
