How does Michelle Palmer’s Re-Cover Girls initiative effectively support women in recovery?

From what I share on my page, the Re-Cover Girls is about women in recovery, women of faith, and women who care coming together to serve and to show that recovery is possible. A big part of how we support recovery is through outreach that combines practical help with hope.

• We do homeless outreach with care bags (hygiene items, thermals, socks) to restore dignity and build connection
• We openly share messages of recovery so women can see living proof that “we do recover”
• We center community, service, and faith as tools that help sustain long‑term recovery

By serving our neighbors, we remind ourselves—and other women—that we’re not alone and that change is possible one small act at a time.
