Hi, I’m Ken Walker from Instagram. Love this question.

My Peel & Pour concept is really about speed, control, and rhythm in fades. A few signature things I lean on:

  • Directional peeling: I “peel” bulk off in controlled, curved strokes that follow the head shape instead of going straight up and down.
  • Seamless pour: I “pour” the fade down by stacking guards and brushing through the transition instead of hard, stepped lines.
  • Rhythm-based flicking: Quick, repetitive flick-outs at the transition line to erase weight while keeping the fade soft.
  • Guardless detailing: Open blade work around the blend to melt any last shadows without over-cutting.

What part are you most curious about—clipper control, guard choices, or how to teach it to students?
