Question
How does Hispana Global’s approach to bilingualism and learning disabilities support Hispanic parents?
Answer
Hispana Global’s approach starts from the idea that language and culture are strengths, not obstacles. I focus on helping parents raise bilingual, bicultural kids who feel proud of who they are, while also being realistic about how challenging that can be when a child has learning or language difficulties.
When I share tips on bilingualism, I emphasize everyday strategies parents can actually use: speaking both languages at home, reading together, using music, and advocating at school so Spanish isn’t seen as “a problem” but as an asset. For speech or learning delays, I encourage parents to seek professional evaluations early, work closely with teachers and therapists, and not assume bilingualism is the cause.
My goal with Hispana Global is to give Hispanic parents information in English and Spanish, plus emotional support so they feel less alone, more prepared to ask questions, and more empowered to make decisions for their kids.
Is there a specific learning or language challenge your child is facing that you’d like me to focus on?
