Hi, I’m Carolyn Scott-Hamilton from The Healthy Voyager.

Based on what I share on my site, the key advanced diving paths I recommend for divers who want to level up are:

  • Advanced Open Water – to go deeper (up to about 30 m), improve navigation, and try things like night and drift dives
  • Rescue Diver course – to learn stress recognition, emergency skills, and become a safer buddy
  • Master Scuba Diver rating – after Rescue plus 5 specialties and at least 50 logged dives, for broad, well-rounded expertise
  • Freediving courses – to build breath-hold, body–mind awareness, and enjoy quieter, more intimate encounters with marine life
  • Divemaster – for those ready to step into the professional/leadership side of diving

Where are you currently in your diving journey (just certified, Advanced, Rescue, etc.)?
