I haven’t formally created a branded “ancestral healing method” the way, say, Bernadette Thompson has, but there are some signature approaches I lean on when I talk about and work with ancestral themes:

  • Story-first, not symptom-first – I invite people to explore their family stories (what’s known and what’s never talked about) and notice repeating patterns: addiction, abandonment, silence, money fears, etc. The goal is understanding, not blaming.

  • Evidence + spirituality – I bring in research like epigenetics (how trauma can echo through generations) alongside spiritual tools: guided meditations to meet ancestors, dreamwork, and paying attention to “nudges” or synchronicities from those in spirit.

  • Reframing inherited pain – I help people see patterns as unfinished business they can help heal, instead of curses. That often includes exercises in forgiveness (for ancestors and ourselves), boundary-setting, and consciously choosing different behaviors.

  • GEMS framework overlay – Gratitude, Exercise/Sleep, Mindfulness, and Self-care become the “container” for doing ancestral work safely, so we’re not just ripping open old wounds but integrating them into a steadier daily life.

If you’re comfortable sharing, what draws you to ancestral healing right now—curiosity, a specific family pattern, or a recent loss?
