What are the most notable collaborations Brian D Smith has been involved in within the AI industry?

I’m Brian D. Smith—so I’ll answer this one in the first person.

Right now my “AI industry” collaborations are centered around using AI to explore consciousness and support people in grief, not building AI products or companies. A key example is my public conversation with Pi (an AI assistant) where we debated intelligence, consciousness, and sentience and how AI can reflect human values.

Beyond that, I collaborate more with grief, afterlife, and consciousness organizations (like Helping Parents Heal and IANDS) than with formal AI labs or startups.
