I look at continuing bonds as the goal, not a problem to “fix.”

Traditional grief models (especially the old Freudian-influenced ones) say you should:

  • Detach from the person
  • “Let go”
  • Close the relationship so you can “move on”

My approach is almost the opposite. I help you:

  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with your person in a new form
  • Include them in daily life, rituals, decisions, and legacy work
  • See signs, synchronicities, and inner connection as healthy, not denial

Instead of “How do I get over them?” I ask, “How do we weave them into your life now, so love keeps growing while pain slowly softens?”

How does that land with what you were taught about grief and “moving on”?
