From what I teach in my videos and trainings, here are the core tools and techniques I recommend for efficient voiceover editing:

• Use basic functions first: record clean, then cut mistakes, tighten pauses, and remove obvious noises before anything else
• Normalize your audio to get consistent overall level
• Use a high‑pass filter if you have low-end rumble or light background noise
• Avoid heavy EQ and compression — anything that makes your voice sound obviously “processed” is a problem for clients and producers
• Keep your chain minimal so you can repeat it quickly on every audition or job
• Practice a repeatable workflow (same steps, same order) to cut your editing time dramatically

If your mic and interface are high quality, I often recommend sending audio flat (no processing) so producers have full control. If your gear is more basic, gentle normalization and a light high‑pass filter are usually enough.
