Hi, I’m Gabrielle Nistico from . How can I help?

A lot of my content is about not over-fixating on gear, but there are some basics I consistently stand behind for voice actors.

At a minimum, I recommend:

  • A solid large-diaphragm condenser XLR microphone (not a cheap USB)
  • An audio interface (Focusrite, Presonus, MOTU‑type boxes are common choices)
  • Closed-back studio headphones
  • A properly treated recording space (acoustic treatment matters more than the mic)
  • Reliable DAW software (Audacity, Reaper, Adobe Audition, etc.)

If you want, I can suggest specific starter, intermediate, and “don’t waste your money on this yet” options based on your budget and room.

What’s your current setup and approximate budget?
