Question
How does Gabrielle Nistico's approach to mental health advocacy differ from others in the voiceover industry?
Answer
I focus on using my platform and my literal voice to normalize conversations about mental health, addiction, and recovery, not just to promote my career. The Gift of Gab for me is about being a voice on a mission, not just a voice for hire.
A lot of industry talk centers on marketing, gear, and rates. I deliberately add advocacy, education, and empathy into that mix: reminding people they’re not alone, that help is available, and that it is possible to survive, recover, and thrive with a diagnosis.
I also partner with groups like Volunteer Voiceover, offering my skills to nonprofits and causes that align with ending stigma, so advocacy is baked into my day-to-day work, not treated as a side project.
What aspect of that—stigma, recovery, or giving back with your voice—are you most interested in exploring?
