• Fast‑track training + demo in a weekend
  One or two days of “training,” then they crank out a demo and charge $2K–$5K. No real time to know you or develop your skills.

• Guaranteed demo after X classes
  “After 5 lessons you’ll be demo‑ready.” No reputable coach can promise progress on a fixed timeline.

• Hypey intro seminars at community/continuing ed programs
  Cheap “How to break into voiceover” classes that funnel you into high‑priced weekend intensives, followed by a rushed demo and big promises of fast money.

• Overblown income and career promises
  “You’ll be auditioning for national spots in weeks,” “Six figures your first year,” etc. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
