Answer
Sure, here's the step-by-step guide to Natasha Najjar's DIY Sea Moss Hair Gel Mask:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dry sea moss
- 1/4 cup your favorite hair oil (Natasha uses one by @golabbeauty)
Instructions:
- Rinse the sea moss in water in a bowl. It will expand a lot. Leave it in the bowl of water overnight.
- Strain the moss and add it to a pot. Then fill with just enough water to cover it.
- Cook on a high/medium heat for 30-40 minutes until the stems lose their structure completely and the moss turns gelatinous. Mix occasionally with a spoon to check on it.
- Add this to a blender with the hair oil and blend until smooth. This will feel smooth until the mixture has more time to cool and set into more like a gelly.
- Wait until it becomes more thick so it’s easier to use and not so messy dripping off your hair. Natasha usually uses it after refrigerating. She also likes the feeling of the cool gel on her hair, it feels soothing.
After applying the product, let it sit on your hair for 1&1/2 hours and then completely wash it out. Lightly squeeze your hair with your hands but not drying it completely. Then wrap it in a cotton shirt and a hair bonnet too.
