Question
What tools does Ariel Gatoga recommend for effective scrying?
Answer
Hi there!
From my public content, I have not yet published a single, definitive “tools list” for scrying the way I have for things like Psalm magic or guided meditations. So I want to be clear that what I offer here is based on traditional witchcraft practice as I generally teach, not on a specific “Ariel’s scrying toolkit” video.
For effective scrying, I typically recommend focusing on simplicity, atmosphere, and consistency more than on fancy gear. Common tools that fit the way I work include:
- A dark or black mirror, or a simple bowl of water (often darkened with ink or a dark bowl)
- A candle or two for soft, indirect lighting
- Incense for ritual atmosphere and focus
- A consecrated space (altar or small working surface)
- A journal to record impressions immediately after the session
The core “tool” is always your trained attention: relaxation, rhythmic breathing, and a quiet, non-grasping gaze. The physical tools simply help your mind shift into a receptive, symbolic mode.
Are you currently scrying with a mirror, water, crystal, or something else?
