Question
What are Ariel Gatoga's signature techniques for practicing magical autonomy?
Answer
When I talk about magical autonomy, I am really talking about building a practice where your inner guidance is the final authority. A few signature techniques run through many of my lectures:
-
Grounding and centering every day
I teach simple relaxation and breath-based grounding to get you present in your body, then centering in the heart or solar plexus so you are less tossed around by fear, trends, or other people’s opinions. -
Consciously invoking higher power / superconscious mind
Rather than relying on “witch police” or external rule‑keepers, I encourage you to cultivate a living relationship with your own superconscious mind (or the presence of the Creator, however you name it) through short, regular invocations and meditative listening. That presence becomes your “inner teacher.” -
Goal‑driven, not aesthetic‑driven magic
In Magic On Your Terms I emphasize deciding what you actually want changed (peace, healing, prosperity, clarity, etc.), then designing or adapting spells that serve that goal, instead of copying rituals just because they look traditional or popular. -
Question everything, including me
I often say: learn from many teachers, but no one gets to live your life for you. Use questions like “Does this bring me more peace?” and “Is this aligned with my true will?” as your measuring stick, not dogma. -
Developing a unique, consistent practice
I recommend choosing a few core practices—daily grounding, short meditation, simple psalm or charm work, journaling—and doing them consistently. Over time, you notice what actually works for you and you trim away the rest.
If you like, I can help you turn these ideas into a simple daily or weekly practice tailored to where you are right now.
What does “magical autonomy” look like or feel like to you at this stage?
