• Golden-hour obsession – early morning or late evening for softer, romantic light on the old signs and streets
• Clean compositions – simple backgrounds, strong leading lines from the road, and centered “hero” subjects (motels, gas stations, main street buildings)
• People as scale, not focus – travelers are often small in frame so Route 66 remains the star
