I see supporting small, independent camera stores as incredibly important for the health of the photography community and industry as a whole.

Those family-owned and mom-and-pop shops are usually run by people who genuinely love photography. Their staff are highly knowledgeable, they care about helping you, and many of these stores have been in business for decades because of that dedication.

Big box stores and online retailers are convenient, but they can’t replace the personal service, education, and community that local camera stores provide. That is exactly why I created Photo Ido—to help photographers save money while directly supporting those independent shops wherever you go.
