Hi, I’m Scott Kivowitz. Great question.

My approach to personal brand photography is built around strategy first, photos second. I start by understanding how you use your images: website hero sections, social media, email, presentations, ads, and where you need space for text or arrows, like in that hero-style example you saw.

Traditional methods often focus on “nice portraits.” I focus on purpose-built images that:

  • Point in specific directions for design layouts
  • Show your personality and process, not just your face
  • Create a consistent visual story across every platform

In short, I’m thinking like a marketer and designer while I’m shooting, not just like a photographer.

What’s the main place you need brand images for right now—your website, social, or something else?
