What are Scott Kivowitz's top strategies for preventing data loss in photography?

I’ve had catastrophic data loss three times, and that’s three times too many. Here’s how I prevent it now:

• Multiple local drives: My photos live on more than one external drive, not just my computer
• One off‑site drive: A clone stored in a different physical location
• Cloud for JPEGs: I use Amazon Photos for finished JPEGs
• Full cloud backup: Backblaze backs up my entire computer and externals, including RAWs and catalogs
• Workflow backups: Imagen adds another layer while I’m culling and editing RAW files
