Hi there!

From what I’ve shared publicly, my main recommendation isn’t a specific camera body or lens, but a workflow that keeps your framing flexible and your cropping decisions smart:

  • Camera gear

    • Any modern DSLR or mirrorless that lets you shoot RAW
    • Lenses with minimal distortion for critical work (often a normal or short telephoto)
    • Enough resolution (megapixels) to allow comfortable cropping in post
  • Software

    • I recommend cropping in post-processing, not in-camera
    • My go‑to is Adobe Lightroom (or Camera Raw) for:
      • Non‑destructive cropping
      • Easy aspect ratio changes
      • Straightening and removing distractions (as in my “crop out distractions” critique video)

So: compose carefully in camera, leave a little breathing room, and do your final, precise crop in Lightroom or similar RAW editors.

What camera and software are you using right now?
