Answer
Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse. Here’s what I personally do to keep kids’ clothes under control:
- One “off-season” drawer for the size they’re wearing now (e.g., current-size summer stuff stored in winter so I can pull a few outfits as weather shifts without a full switch-over).
- Three bins for upcoming sizes in the closet, each clearly labeled (right now I’d have 6, 7, 8). I only buy those sizes and only items I really love, often from Goodwill or clearance, and I keep a running needs list on my phone.
- One “too small” bin always ready. When it’s full, I bag everything and pass it on as hand-me-downs.
- I also like to keep outfits together in drawers so getting dressed is fast and “life is basically a fashion show.”
Do you want help setting this up for your specific closet and kids’ ages?
