Hi there!

Based on what I’ve shared publicly, my focus isn’t on lobbying specific school funding bills or picking sides politically. Instead, I try to impact education by:

  • Encouraging parents to get informed about local elections (school boards, city councils, bonds, overrides), since those control a lot of school funding decisions
  • Helping families understand how schools work (through my “Supporting Success” resources and podcast) so they can ask better questions and participate more confidently
  • Highlighting how local decisions like hiring superintendents or changing calendars directly affect kids and families, which often motivates parents to show up and vote

So my “advocacy” is really about education and engagement, not partisan politics—because informed, involved parents are what ultimately move the needle on funding and priorities in their own districts.

Are you thinking about getting more involved with your local school or district decisions?
