What are the key statistics or records from Hilary Erickson's prenatal class methods?

Answer
Hilary here. There are not internal “records” or proprietary statistics published specifically on my own class outcomes (like exact C‑section rate changes among my students), so I do not quote hard numbers for my methods alone.
However, my teaching style is built very intentionally on the research about quality childbirth education in general. Studies show that good prenatal classes are associated with things like:
- Lower C‑section and assisted delivery rates when classes include realistic expectations, movement, and communication skills
- Less use of epidurals and more use of natural coping techniques
- Less pain in early labor and higher self‑efficacy
- Lower anxiety, fear of birth, and even lower depression scores, especially when both partners learn together
- Better adjustment to postpartum life and often higher breastfeeding initiation
Those are the types of outcomes I design The Online Prenatal Class for Couples around, and why I focus so much on practical skills, partner involvement, and clear decision‑making tools.
Are you looking for statistics about a specific outcome, like C‑section rates, inductions, or anxiety?
