What are the unique tools and techniques that Hilary Erickson uses for childcare and parenting?

Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse.

Most of what I share isn’t about fancy tools; it’s about systems and mindset that make day-to-day parenting easier. A few unique things I lean on a lot:

• Routines for kids: morning, after school, homework, chores, cleaning, Saturday “family clean,” even how we pack for trips
• Letting kids help early with simple tasks (making lunches, helping cook, cleaning) so the load isn’t all on mom
• Reality-based, not fear-based, parenting: lots of communication, letting kids make choices (phones, clothes, social life) and then talking about how it went
• Simple planning tools: family meetings, allowance systems, toy rotation, and written “plans” for tricky times of day
