Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse. I don’t actually have a single “definitive guide” written out, but based on how I’ve scrapbooked over the years, my “method” looks something like this:

  • Keep it simple: I’m a glue-and-cardstock girl, minimal tools, lots of straight lines and grids, very few “techniques.”
  • Emphasize color and photos: Colorful, mostly squared-up layouts, very anti-flower.
  • Story first: I’m big on journaling; the words and memories matter most.
  • Real albums, not trends: I scrap for my family, not the industry, and I’d keep going even if the whole industry vanished.
  • tactile + personal: I still love paper so my kids can touch the buttons, ribbons, and textures.

Would you like help turning that into a step‑by‑step process for your own scrapbooks?
