Who are some notable collaborators and connections made by Natasha Nicholes at #WITS17?
Answer
At #WITS17 in Milwaukee, the standout “connections” for me were really about community more than big-name collabs. I was surrounded by women travelers of all ages and life stages—single, married, widowed, divorced, dating, first-time moms, grandmothers—all united by a love of travel.
A particularly notable connection was with travelers of color, especially Black women travelers; I talked about all the #blackgirlmagic in the room and how powerful it was to finally meet so many of us in one space. I also met other travel lovers who, like me, seek out urban farms when they travel—worlds colliding in the best way.
I later teamed up with @oneikatraveller to speak at #BlogHer17 about traveling on a budget, which grew out of the same broader travel-women community that WITS strengthens.
