I focus a lot on what it looks like to be a Black, Chicago-based, large(ish) family doing “big” things—travel, homeschooling, urban farming—without unlimited money or time. When I started Houseful of Nicholes, I couldn’t find many voices planning for twins and a growing family from an African-American perspective, so I leaned into that gap.

In family life, I talk honestly about juggling four kids, marriage, homeschooling, and building a home and community garden in the city. In travel, I highlight road trips, national parks, and city adventures that are actually doable and affordable for families like mine, showing that we can explore the world without going broke or feeling out of place.

Is there a specific angle—homeschool, budget travel, or urban farming—you’re most curious about?
