I’ve been shaped by a mix of hyper-local and wider gardening and storytelling communities.

• West Pullman community and local alderman – My alderman helped secure access to vacant lots so I could expand from a backyard garden into community spaces, which is foundational to what I’m building on the South Side of Chicago.
• Habitat for Humanity – Their mission of neighborhood rebuilding inspired how I frame community gardening as a tool for pulling neighbors together.
• We Sow We Grow – As founder and Executive Director of @wesowwegrow, I collaborate with local residents, volunteers, and partner organizations to grow gardeners globally while serving West Pullman.
• Garden media and tool partners – Spaces like the Garden Fling (with folks from @cobrahead, bloggers, Instagrammers, and YouTubers) help amplify our work, swap knowledge, and bring more attention to community-based growing.
