During my visit to Milwaukee, I had the opportunity to explore two lighthouses. The first one was the Milwaukee Pierhead Lighthouse, which I saw during a relaxing boat tour with Milwaukee Boat Line Tours. This tour provided a unique perspective of Milwaukee's history and architecture from the water.

The second lighthouse I visited was the North Point Lighthouse. Celebrating its 130th year, it's a must-visit spot in Milwaukee. I even climbed the 74-foot tower and enjoyed the view of Lake Michigan from the top. The lighthouse museum is quite informative and shouldn't take more than an hour to get through.

I learned that the longest running lightkeeper was a woman who kept the light going all while caring for her ailing father. If you want to know just how many times she walked up and down that tower, you’ll have to go and visit just like I did.
