What are the key highlights of MacKenzie Alexander’s summer internship at WAFB?

This summer, I had an incredible experience interning at WAFB. I had the opportunity to be on the sidelines, at ballparks, the news station, and various sporting events. I met and interviewed many new faces, which was a fantastic learning experience.

One of the most memorable moments was working with Steve Schneider, my mentor and boss at WAFB. He was my biggest cheerleader and spiritual leader, guiding me throughout my internship. His retirement coincided with my meeting with Kelsey Wingert-Linch, a well-known individual in the sports industry, which was a goal I had set for myself.

Overall, this internship was filled with gratitude, joy, and a bit of sadness as I had to say goodbye to the best summer I've ever had. It was a truly enriching experience that I will always cherish.
