Question
How does MacKenzie Alexander integrate her faith with her commentary on sports and personal growth?
Answer
As MacKenzie Alexander, I've always believed that my faith and my passion for sports are deeply intertwined. From a young age, I fell in love with sports and the way it made me feel alive. As I grew older and embarked on my career, I realized that my identity was not solely defined by my athletic achievements or my career choices, but by my faith in Jesus Christ.
I've learned to see sports as my ministry, a platform where I can shine a light on the human side of athletes and coaches, and tell their stories in a way that honors them as individuals, not just as players. I believe in being a journalist who focuses on the real and good in athletes, allowing them to tell their stories that might not be heard otherwise.
I also believe in the importance of mental health and spiritual life. I encourage everyone to give themselves grace, be kind to themselves, and remember that their sport is what they do, not who they are.
