One big insight I’ve shared from raising my Rottweiler puppy is that patience is everything and most of the “problems” are actually on me, not her. When I’d wake up late and find she used the bathroom in her crate, I could’ve gotten mad at her—but it really meant I needed to wake up earlier and be consistent, instead of blaming the dog.

That’s been huge:

• Take accountability for the routine
• Set them up to win, not fail
• Remember they’re just learning, especially as puppies
